Our TEAM

Chief Record Assistants

At all times, one or two PRAs may serve as Chief Record Assistant (CRA).  The CRA works in coordination with the Program Director, the Business Manager, and the Administrative Assistant to manage most aspects of the EMPRA program. This includes coordinating, scheduling, hiring, training, disciplinary issues, and communication to the physician group about the EMPRA program.

Scribe Council

Members of the EMPRA Council assist the Chiefs in administering various parts of the program. They show initiative by contributing ideas to strengthen the program. Members can submit or be assigned projects to work on which can affect the direction of the entire organization.

Trainer PRA

A PRA is eligible to become a Trainer at the recommendation of the Program Director and/or CRA. The position not only includes preparing other PRAs to become trainers, but also evaluating new-hires performance for final transition to Active PRA Status.

PEMS Scribe/PRA Alumni

Many scribes/PRAs have used the PEMS Medical Scribe Program to launch their careers in healthcare.  Some have become nurses, physicians, and physician assistants.  We have heard many a time that the the knowledge and skills they gained working in the ER has put them ahead of the curve and in their classes!
